DuoPrint – Two-color Thermal Transfer Printer
Simultaneous printing with different colours
The DuoPrint provides the ideal solution in which labels as well as textiles and plastics can be printed in two colours with one working process.The user can select from a multitude of colour combinations: A large selection of coloured transfer ribbons ensures qualitative high grade and sharp printing for all applications.
A current application of the DuoPrint is the implementation of the requirements for the new classification and labelling guideline for chemicals in accordance with GHS. Of course, two colour printing of special warning and information labels as well as pricing labels and the further printing of corporate logos and trademarks in colour are possible without difficulty.
A wide range of coloured transfer ribbons guarantees high quality and sharp prints for all applications.
Two printing units arranged one behind the other, print labels with two different colours. The second printing unit is equipped with transfer ribbon optimization as standard. This raises the print head in the blank area and reduces transfer ribbon consumption to a minimum.

Connection set for winding and unwinding devices
The connection set is used for the exact alignment of the PR 12, PR 17, PR 45 and PA 50A external rewinding devices to the Vita II, Compa II, Spectra and Vario II printers.
External Rewinder PR 17
With the PR 17 external take-up device, label rolls up to a diameter of 300 mm can be processed. Thanks to an internal power supply, the take-up device is equally suitable for all printer types. Electronic control via the pendulum arm ensures an even and taut winding of all winding devices. A connection set is available for exact alignment of the external winding device to the printer.
External Rewinder PR 12
With the external rewinding device PR 12, label rolls up to a diameter of 300 mm can be processed. Thanks to an internal power supply, the take-up device is equally suitable for all printer types. An electronic control via the pendulum arm ensures an even and taut winding. A connection set is available for exact alignment of the external winding device to the printer.

Control via Software
The DuoPrint is delivered with a printer driver and Labelstar LITE label software. The software controls which parts of the label are printed from the first or second printing unit. Previously created layouts can be saved on CF card or USB stick, called up or modified via PC keyboard and then printed stand-alone.
Print width and resolution
The print resolution of the Corner Type printheads is 305 dpi. With the DuoPrint 107/12, labels with a maximum width of 106.6 mm and a pass-through width of 116 mm can be printed. The wide version of the DuoPrint can even print labels with a maximum width of 160 mm, the opening width is actually 176 mm when using this model. The printing speed can be selected up to 150 mm/sec.
Winding devices with their own power supply
The external rewinders can be fixed with the printer and require their own power supply. With the use of rewinders, labels can be rolled up again immediately after printing. When processing large print jobs, this makes it possible to take up large label rolls and wind them independently of the printer. Compact Cover
The printers of the DuoPrint series are equipped with a solid metal case and a two-part cover which is folded in when opening. The lateral cover with viewing window allows the user to view the remaining transfer belt rollers at any time. Due to the equipment of a unwinding device for large label rolls up to 300 mm in diameter, the material has to be refilled considerably less often by the user.
Label unwinder
A special unwinding device is exactly what is needed to work effectively and quickly with label rolls. The PA80 unwinders for the DuoPrint 107/12 and PA81 for the DuoPrint 160/12 are equipped with an adjustable brake. The label tape thus remains evenly tensioned and thus avoids tolerance problems with’ double printing’. Loading the label rolls has been designed to be extremely user-friendly for this unwinder.
Available Interfaces
All common interfaces such as RS-232, USB 2.0 and Ethernet 10/100 Base‑T are available. Two additional USB ports for keyboard or scanner are also integrated as fixed standards.
Control via software
